NASA’s asteroid Bennu samples reveal a 4.5-billion-year-old secret
Scientists have gained new insights into the origin of our Solar System through samples taken from asteroid Bennu. The findings suggest that Bennu was formed when material from the inner and outer parts of the Solar System collided, with Jupiter's influence being more significant than previously thought. This collision likely took place around 4.5 billion years ago.
Why it's good news: It sheds new light on a fundamental aspect of our universe's history, providing a deeper understanding of how our Solar System came to be.
