With most information hidden, the game Stratego had stumped AI - until now
Researchers have finally created an artificial intelligence that can reliably beat top human players in the classic strategy game Stratego. The AI, called Ataraxos, is a collaborative effort by teams from several prestigious universities. Ataraxos defeated Pim Niemeijer, considered one of the best Stratego players.
Why it's good news: This breakthrough could lead to new developments and improvements in the field of artificial intelligence and strategy games.
