Team selected for NASA program to explore potential lunar cave
A team has been chosen by NASA to study a potential large underground cave on the Moon that could serve as a refuge for future space explorers. The cave is connected to a lunar pit and may offer protection from radiation and extreme temperatures. Scientists will investigate whether the cave extends beyond its visible opening.
Why it's good news: It holds promise of improving safety conditions for future astronauts on the Moon.
