Nature-Inspired Tech Prevents Microplastics Entering Atlantic Ocean Through Wastewater
A device designed by Princeton alumni can filter out microplastics from wastewater at a large scale, mimicking the properties of hydrophobic plants found in nature. The device has already been deployed in Atlantic City. It removes water and captures microplastic particles.
Why it's good news: It reduces the amount of microplastics entering the ocean through wastewater.
