NASA Navigation Experiment Shows Promise for Planetary Landings
Scientists have made progress in developing a system to aid planetary landings, known as SPLICE, which was tested near a NASA research center. The system used a drone to test its ability to communicate with aircraft during hover maneuvers. Researchers are now preparing for more simulations.
Why it's good news: It brings us closer to safer and more precise space exploration missions.
