Guatemala ensures survival of vulnerable 'fossil' fish
Hundreds of baby tropical gar fish have been released into the wild in southern Guatemala. The tropical gar is a rare species that resembles an alligator due to its distinctive snout. A freshwater canal surrounded by mangroves has provided a suitable habitat for these young fish.
