APOD: 2026 October 3 - Selfie at Vera Rubin Ridge
The NASA Curiosity Rover took a photo of itself on the surface of Mars at Vera Rubin Ridge. This was during its journey, which had already lasted for 1943 days since it began exploring the planet's surface. The image was taken from the rover's current location.
Why it's good news: It shows that the Curiosity Rover is still actively exploring and capturing data on Mars.
